2012 March - Start Time 11am

Please note that the Studland Stampede will start at the later time of 11am this year (it has been 10am in previous years). This is due to an exceptionally high tide at 9am on Sunday the 14 th October 2012. We know that you are not afraid of getting your feet wet but, on the advice of the National Trust, we feel that we should give the tide a few hours to withdraw for those of you that can’t swim :)

2012 February - Chip Timing

This year the Studland Stampede will be adding Chip Timing to the action!
Each year we try to find ways of making improvements to the event. Last year it was the introduction of Goodie Bags and this year we thought we would give Chip Timing a go. We have been assured that the chips will still be working after the sand, water, mud, sweat and tears. The finer details will be laid out in the Race Information which is emailed out to you when we received your entry.

2011 September - Message In A Bottle!

The National Trust are donating re-useable water bottles to add to our exciting Goodie Bags and to pass on an important message. They have been campaigning to reduce the over-use of disposable plastic bottles and encourage visitors to use re-useable drinks bottles and drink tap water to make a positive difference. Small changes, big results!

2011 June - Stampede Gets Fruity

After crossing the finish line, exhausted runners will be rewarded with fresh juicy fruit, donated by local company Boxedveg.tv. This year at the Studland Stampede, each runner will receive a goody bag containing their race memento and a number of other bits and pieces to be confirmed.

Boxedveg.tv are the first to offer their support to our runners, offering seasonal fresh produce, sourced from local Dorset farms. Boxedveg.tv are also donating 6 fantastic prizes of succulent fruit & vegetable boxes for the first 3 male and female runners.

Based in Ashley Cross, Poole, Boxedveg.tv combine fresh produce delivery with live cooking shows, in their online weekly recipe video, creating meals using the produce in your box. 2011 April - Purbeck Runners support Studland Stampede 2011

We are delighted that Purbeck Runners are supporting the Studland Stampede again this year. This will be the third year that their brilliant members have volunteered to join our team.
